Policies

Plain-language policies for The McMillan Method. Last updated October 10, 2026.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters here, especially because many people visit this site while sorting out a difficult relationship. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Purchases: your name, email address and billing details, so we can process your order and deliver your download. Payments are handled by our secure payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Sign-ups: your email address (and name, if you give it) when you request the free checklist, register for a webinar or join our mailing list.
  • Messages: whatever you choose to share when you contact us.
  • Site usage: basic, aggregated information such as pages visited and device type, collected by our website platform to keep the site working and improve it.

How we use it

To deliver what you bought or requested, answer your messages, send webinar details and occasional emails you signed up for, and improve our tools and site. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Discreet by design

Your card statement will show "The McMillan Method," not the name of any tool. If you share a device or email account with someone you're concerned about, consider using a private browsing window and an email address only you can access.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers we need to run the business, such as our website and email platform and payment processor, and only for that purpose. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information at any time through our Contact page.

Cookies

Our website platform uses cookies that are needed for the site and checkout to work, plus optional analytics cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

Children

This site is intended for adults. Webinars for groups under 18 are booked by a parent, guardian or organization.

Terms of Sale

Digital products

Clarity Tools, guides and eBooks are digital downloads. After checkout you'll receive a download link by email. Files open on phones, tablets and computers.

Personal-use license

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the materials for yourself. Please don't copy, resell, share publicly or post them online. Professionals and organizations who want to use the tools with clients, staff or students can ask about licensing through our Contact page.

Educational purpose

Our tools, courses and webinars are educational. They are not therapy, diagnosis, legal advice or a substitute for professional help, and they don't create a clinician-client relationship. If you're in danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number). In the U.S., the National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-799-7233 or by texting START to 88788.

Prices

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change; the price at checkout is the price you pay.

Webinars, keynotes and training

Private webinars, keynotes and training are confirmed by written agreement, which sets out the date, fee, deliverables and cancellation terms for that engagement.

Copyright

All content on this site, including the Clarity Tools, is © The McMillan Method and Dr. Dina McMillan. Tool names marked ™ are trademarks of The McMillan Method.

Refund Policy

Because our products are digital downloads delivered instantly, all sales are final.

But we'll always make it right. If a file won't download or open, or arrives damaged, contact us through our Contact page and we'll fix it, resend it or replace it.

If you were charged twice or see a billing error, let us know and we'll correct it promptly.
